Poor Curt Curt!!

Poor Curt Curt!!! Okay, this is probably way more info than you want to know, but here it is!! Last Wed. morning Curt started throwing up. Well that turned to diarrhea too.....but he was keep fluids down so I didn't worry much about him. Then he started just laying around. He was even throwing up and having diarrhea in his sleep. By Thurs morning he wasn't even keeping fluids down, so I took him to the Dr. just thinking she would say, yes, it's rotavirus, just keep him drinking.....But she took one look at him and put him in the hospital! He was very dehydrated and very lethargic. We got to the hospital about 10:00am and after all the procedures, ( a urine cath and 2 trys at an IV....I'm glad Chuck made it for all that!) he just layed on me and slept all day until that night when he perked up for about 20 minutes and then went back to sleep for the night. Now I say he slept all day, but he would have a diarrhea diaper and we'd have to change him and then he'd go back to sleep.....even in the hospital he had 19 diarrhea diapers on Thursday.

These pictures were taken on Friday when he was feeling okay enough that I could leave him sitting in bed for a few minutes to go clean up myself and the room....He actually sat through an entire TV show!! He's not a TV watcher, but I guess he felt that bad!!

They didn't let us go home Friday morning because his potassium was still really low, (3.0 for you medical people.....it was 4.0 when we entered the hospital) and because he wasn't eating or drinking or really even up and going....

By Friday when he woke up from a nap at 1:00pm, he was feeling pretty good!! He ate a good lunch and was wanting to walk around!! So we made laps around the nurses station because he was too contagious to go anywhere else. He even had a biohazard thing on his door. All visitors were supposed to gown up and glove up, but of course none did!!

These were all taken on my cell phone so they aren't great quality, but it's all I had....This is Curt walking around with us on the floor. By the time we were released Fri. about 5 pm, we were having to tell him to slow down and not to run!! His favorite activity at the end was playing peek a boo with the pretty nurse at the nurses station! He was feeling fine by Sat. but he still had 16 diarrhea diapers on Sat.!!! They finally slowed down and then he was able to go to MDO on Tues. I got a touch of it on Sun. and was severly nauseas. I was really bad off!! So on Mon. night Kylie woke up with an ear ache....she was up about 3 times that night hurting....so tues. I send her to school and made her a dr. appt. for after lunch. By the time I pick her up from school she is so wiped out and when we leave the dr. she is running 102.8 fever!!! She has an ear infection and sleeps the rest of the day and all night.....Wed she does not go to school and Thurs. and Friday are fine......so I think we are finally over all of us being sick and then Friday night she starts throwing up in the night!!! I was so out of it I'm not sure I believed her when she told me at first. But Sat. and Sun she was fine!! I'm just hoping this is it for now!! I had to take Curt back to the dr. for repeat blood work on Friday too, so in a weeks time I was at the Dr. 3 times and had a 2 day hospital stay!! I'm so done with being sick for now!

Kiley sure does look cute in her soccer uniform. Y'alls uniforms are MUCH cooler than ours. :) I'll have to show CT.

Hope you guys are doing good!!
