Hmm....Think we need a new name soon!

Can you guess why we would need a new name?? Yup, that's it... we bought a house!!! Yea!!! It's so nice! It was built in 1983 and has had the same owners. They have great taste and have kept it up to date so there is nothing that really needs to be done. We are going to do some things of course, but it won't be much!!

The house is 2300 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, eat in kitchen, formal dining, formal living, big laundry room, split bedrooms, workshop in garage, pool, grilling deck, main deck, and it backs up to a wooded area belonging to the city that has a pond in it!!! It is everything we wanted in a house, and much more.

We are going to do a few things right away. We will fence in the pool part of the deck (it has 3 parts to the deck) so kiddos won't fall in, put railings on the rest of the stairs for the deck, replace the stovetop and take down wallpaper in the kitchen and hall bath. That means painting the kitchen, bathroom and of course kids rooms....nothing else needs painting....we are talking about knocking a wall down between the living room and formal living room, but I'm not sure that will happen....

We are so excited! Closing is set for Feb. 1st or before, but that has a lot to do with when their house closes. They are building a house that should be done mid Jan., so we'll see!

The front of the house..not a great pic....

This is standing at the pool deck looking to the grilling deck.

The pool deck, it will be fenced.

So, if anyone can think up a name for my blog for after we are no longer in limbo, I would love to hear it!!

Our family!!

Check out my big boy shoes!!

Okay, in 8 1/2 years of marriage I have never seen this guitar of his, let alone know that he took 6 years of lessons!!! I found all this out when we packed up our old house so he got a new strap and some tuning equipment for Christmas. Kylie is playing backup with her harmonica.

Christmas with family

We had Christmas with my side of the family the weekend before Christmas. My Nana and Jim got to come up from Houston, which was nice because we don't get to see them much.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!

Chuck and I got to go to his company Christmas party at the country club. It was a ton of fun to dress up and go out to dinner and dancing!

Our beautiful niece, Alexis, was baby Jesus in her churches Christmas program! Kylie was very concerned that people were thinking she was a boy....

Friends, haircuts and ice skates

We went with some friends to take the kids to go see the lights at the courthouse. They had a blast, but it was hot!! I thought it might be cool so I put Kylie in long sleeves, but she burned up....yep, Christmas in Texas is hot!!

The girls with their angel!

Mark and Kylie, Carrie, Clara and Adelle on the train ride.

GG in her baking spot and Kylie in hers!

Curt got his first haircut!!! He's so big!! It was growing over his ears and starting to curl....I kinda liked it though....

The big boy look.....i think Chuck did a good job, I just don't like it that short.....we'll let it grow a bit now!

We took Kylie to the outdoor ice skating rink in the next town over....she loved it!! she never fell down and did a great job balancing!!

Oh!! Cinderella!!

Thanksgiving

We had a ton of people from Chuck's side of the family in for Thanksgiving!! The kids had a blast. Alaynah and Kylie are just a few months apart and Curt and Bryson are just a few months apart! They played and we got to take the kids to Pump it up Jr. Here are a few pics...

Coloring pics...I think Kylie looks about 8 with her hair straightened!

Bryson would just come over to Curt and just sit where ever he was!!
So Curt would just 'kiss' him.....or is that Mike Tyson?

Busy, busy....

I have a ton of pictures from Thanksgiving to post, but my time now is spent trying to move toys around the living room and try to make room for the Christmas tree, and working on house stuff!! Praise God our house in Oklahoma sold!! That is, if the appraisal comes through. We are going up this weekend to pack and load the house. So, maybe after this weeknd I will have time to post pics. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

This weekend we went to Dallas to see my sister and her new house!! They are doing massive renovations and a new addition to it so they won't be actually in it for about 6 months. It's gorgeous!
