Soccer

Well, I am officially a soccer mom!!! I love it! Last fall Kylie really started showing an interest in playing soccer at our house. We'd go out and have family 'games' and kick the ball around. She always begged us to go out and play! So, after some explaining what a team was and how a real game worked, she decided she wanted to play. So we signed her up and she is on a team with 2 other little girls that we are friends with. The picture above is her first game. It was so cold!!! She had to wear her coat under her jersey! This is how she played most of the game, with her hands in her pockets!!

Waterpark in Feb!!

We decided that there was nothing that Kylie really wanted or needed for her birthday, so we decided to take her to do something instead!! So, she got a Sat. with just Mommy and Daddy!! We left Curt with GG and Pops and we drove about an hour away and picked out her big girl booster seat. She was so excited to get to be in 'big girl' seat!! We thought she'd pick one that was all pink, but instead, she suprised us and picked out a plain one, but it had fancy nightlights on the sides that she can turn on by herself!! She loved that feature! Then we took her to an indoor waterpark! It's not very big, but for her it was great!! Thy had 2 adult slides that Chuck and I took turns going on, and then 2 medium slides that you see above. Kylie LOVED them!!! They had a lazy river, a small wave pool and a great kid area with 3 more kid slides!

It was such a fun day!! Kylie had so much fun!! I hope that we can do something like this every birthday!

Happy 5th Birthday, Kylie!!!

Wow!!! I can't believe my little baby is 5!! She is such a great kid! She wanted her party at Chuck E. Cheese, so that's where we had it!! We had about 11 or 12 little ones there and she had a blast!!

Catch up post!!!

I am so not good at this blog!!! It's a good thing only a few people read it because it sure doesn't get updated more then once a month or so!!! Here are some Christmas pictures and whatever random pictures I feel like adding!!

My pcitures are out of order, I know....this next one is a rare picture!! Has never happened before and probably never happen again!! This was Christmas day after we had opened our presents as a family. Kylie and I laid in bed to rest and she fell asleep, then Curt woke up and Chuck brought him to me and he fell back asleep and I was able to get up!! How many more years till this happens again??

These next ones are Christmas with Chuck's mom....his dad had to be at a mine outage and he ended up missing Christmas, New Years and Kylie's birthday....he was gone for about 6 weeks....





The grandkids!! No, we did not intentionally match the girls....Alexis's dress was actually Kylie's first Christmas dress that Chuck's mom made for her.....we were excited that she was the same size and could wear it!

Random last month or so...

Okay, I'm going to upload lots of random pictures in this post....so hopefully all i have left to post to catch up is Christmas pics and birthday pics!!




Okay, we have 3 things going on in this picture....first, she has 2 different socks and 2 different shoes on for Wacky Wednesday at school.....second, she got her birthday ribbon in chapel today, and third, she is posing with Courderoy the Bear....Each week a student at school gets to take him home and take care of him. they have to read him his story, put him to bed and play with him...she was so excited to take him home for the night! So, the next week, she told her Uncle Aaron that he had to take her beloved Bear Bear home with him to spend the night. She packed his suitcase and blanket and toothbrush and book....Uncle Aaron went over the top!! Here are a few of his pictures he took!!

Okay, here's the story....Kylie is dying for bunk beds for her and Curt....Probably never going to happen, but she wants it to.....so she decided to make bunk beds on her closet shelves for her and her babies... When I found her the first time, she was on the top one and I heard a huge crash!!! She had fallen off!!! She didn't get hurt, but she won't go on the top one again!



Curt's first day of MDO at our church. He goes Tues. and Thurs. from 9 to 2....I work there as well as floater/office help on Tues. and in Curt's class on Thurs. He does fine with me in there....Luckily he doesn't attach to me when I'm in there, he can get down there and play.



We made a fire one sat. afternoon and Kylie and I put the rocking chair in front and curled up and went to sleep!!




Curt crawled in Kylie's baby stroller one day!!! Kylie just pushed him around.....and tried to make him lay down....that didn't work so well, though!



This was Kylie's Christmas program at her school!!




Hopefully it won't take me too long to post the rest of the pictures!!!

Conversations with Kylie

Here is a conversation I wish I hadn't had with my daughter...a good friend of our recently got remarried....her daughter is in Kylie's class...

Me: We are going to go see Mrs. Kristi for a minute.

Kylie: Oh, you mean Kristi ?????? (insert last name)

Me: Well, yes, but now her last name is ?????

Kylie: Why?

Me: Well, she got married.

Kylie: How can she get married if she already has kids? (we really teach the 'right' order to do things!)

Me: Well, honey, she was married and then she wasn't and now she is again.

Kylie: oh, well....are you going to do that?

Me: No, baby, Mommy and Daddy will be together forever and forever.

Kylie: Good, because I like Daddy a lot. Were you married before and now are married to Daddy?

Me: No, baby, Daddy is the only person I've ever been married to.

Kylie: Good

Oh my gosh!!! It is getting so hard to explain things to a smart little girl!! How sad that we have to explain divorce to a child....and then it broke my heart that she is worried it would happen to us.....she reminds me every day to drive safely so we don't have a car accident.....why is she worried about that? I think she is a worrier....sometimes i just want to remind her to just be a kid!!!

I wish there wasn't a need for conversations such as those....
